


Delicious Barbecue Recipes: How to Bring Variety to the Barbecue

Finally, grilling season is officially back on! There is nothing better than enjoying the sun and feasting on delicacies from the barbecue. When camping, in the small garden, on the balcony or the terrace - there are already many beautiful places and opportunities for barbecuing. In addition to the standard snacks such as sausage, steak or grilled cheese, there are so many other great recipes and ideas that also simply bring variety to the barbecue. If you want to expand your barbecue choices and try something different, here are three cool new recipes for you.

Mango-Halloumi Skewers
A vegetarian and particularly fresh option is our mango halloumi skewers. Here’s what you need:
- 1 small courgette (200 g)
- 250 g mango
- 250 g halloumi cheese
- Wooden skewers
- ½ tsp chilli flakes
- 4 thyme sprigs
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
And here's how:
- Wash & slice the courgettes
- Peel mango and dice flesh
- Also dice the halloumi cheese
- Thread the courgettes, mango and halloumi alternately onto the skewer
- There should be about 8 skewers in total
- Mix the chilli, thyme, honey, oil, salt & pepper together
- Marinate the skewers in the mixture for at least 30 minutes
- Leave to sizzle on the grill for approx. 5 minutes, turning regularly
- Now just enjoy!

Chocolate bananas
For those of you with a sweet tooth, we also have a sweet version. All you need is:
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 4 bananas
And here's how:
- Break the chocolate into individual pieces
- Cut the banana lengthwise at the peel so that it still remains closed at the ends
- push the chocolate into the incision and place on the grill with the open side facing up
- grill the banana until the chocolate has melted

Garlic-Feta Cheese-Dip
Of course, a delicious dip should not be missing from the barbecue:
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 150 g sundried tomatoes in oil
- 5 stalks of mint
- 400 g feta cheese
- 200 g quark/cottage cheese (20% fat)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon
And that’s how simple it is:
- Peel the garlic and then chop it finely. Place the tomatoes in a sieve, drain well and then dice. Rinse the mint, shake dry, pluck off the leaves and then cut into fine strips. Mash the feta cheese with a fork.
- Now mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix in the quark and season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
