Shut The Box is a classic game that is fun for every generation. The wooden board game provides excitement at parties and games evenings. Children train their maths skills in a playful way with this arithmetic game.

CAUTION: Not suitable for children under 36 months due to choking hazard from small parts that may be swallowed.

Rules of the Game

A game consists of several rounds. All players have one turn in each round. When it is a player's turn, all the flaps are opened first. The player rolls 2 dice and closes the corresponding flaps. Any decomposition of the sum of the dice may be used to close the flaps. For example, if you roll 5 and 2, you can either close 5 and 2, 6 and 1, 3 and 4, 2, 4 and 1, etc. If the sum of the open flaps is 6 or less, you continue with just one die. If no more flaps can be closed, the minus points are calculated by adding up the numbers of the flaps that are still open. Then it is the next player's turn. Each player's minus points from all rounds are noted and added together. If a player has at least 45 minus points, he is eliminated. The game ends when all but one player has 45 or more minus points. The player with the least minus points wins the game.
