It doesn't take much to make a chic summer party table:
  • Elegant drinking glasses
  • Glass straws
  • Slate slabs
  • Storage jars in your style
We opted for candy jars for our decoration. Of course, you can also use other shapes and different sizes. To use the glasses as flower vases, snack bars and lanterns, you will need:
  • Flax yarn or ribbon in purple or cream
  • Fresh flowers (lilac or lavender)
  • Dried flowers
  • Purple napkins
  • Purple candles
  • Biscuits or sweets to snack on
  • Place cards if required
For the right floral touch, you can use fresh flowers or dried flowers - or both! Grab your favourite purple ones and you're ready to go. With dried flowers, you can mix the classic natural look with purple ones. Put the lid of your storage jar aside, put the plants inside and decorate the whole thing with cute ribbon or flax yarn. If the flowers are fresh, add enough water to the container.
You can also do the same with a lantern. If you prefer something more simple, simply place candles of the right size in decorative storage jars and spread them out on your party table. A snack bar or candy bar is also quickly set up with the help of cute storage jars. Decorate the jars with ribbon or yarn or just use your favourite treats as eye-catchers. Candy bars are often set up on separate tables at weddings, but at smaller parties you can of course simply spread out the snack jars on the table.
To complete the look, you need the matching tableware. With slate boards, vintage glasses and glass straws, you create a romantic ambience that harmonises perfectly with the trendy purple look and the elegant lavender, but you also don't overload the overall picture. Combine decoration and tableware to create the ideal combination of vintage glamour and a modern, minimalist look. Enjoy your next party!
