Hot, hotter, summer! As the temperatures rise, so does our thirst for cold drinks to refresh us. Just as with food and dishes, new trends and viral hits regularly emerge for drinks and cocktails. Once again, we couldn't resist trying out the hottest new drinks of the year. We are talking mainly about Frozerol and the grenade cocktail, as we call it. But where do the hype drinks come from this year?

Aperol Spritz is a perennial favourite among mixed drinks, which bars and restaurants whip out just in time for the warm season. For some, however, it is too bitter and, equally, the enthusiasm for frozen cocktails is growing. Frozerol is therefore to become the new Aperol by adding ice and mango. We just had to try it! Frozen margaritas are just as popular, and there's a viral novelty there too. In the show "The Summer I Turned Pretty", the culinary heat is on and, among other things, a frozen margarita with pomegranate is served. We also took a shot at making this drink. So find out today how to prepare the new hype drinks and pick up a few new recipes for your next party!

Frozerol - The new Aperol Spritz? This is how it's done!

You will need:
  • 250g frozen mango
  • 4cl Aperol
  • 4cl Prosecco
  • 2cl seltzer
  • Juice of half an orange
  • Ice cubes
First, puree the frozen mango pieces with the Aperol. Then add prosecco, water and orange juice (preferably freshly squeezed). Then blend the drink again with the ice. The drink is ready to go into the glass. To serve, garnish the Frozerol with a slice of orange. Let's go!

The Grenade - a pomegranate summer drink

You will need:
  • 4cl lime juice
  • 4cl Tequila
  • 2cl agave syrup
  • 150ml pomegranate juice
  • Ice cubes
  • pinch of sugar
  • The grenade is made in a flash. All the ingredients go into the blender together and become a delicious frozen margarita. Before pouring the drink into the glass, add a sugar rim to the glass using lime juice. There you are!
