Or are you looking for ideas to impress your guests at a party? We've picked out the tastiest drinks of the year for you and tried them out. Whether you prefer vegan refreshments or cocktails with or without alcohol, there's something for everyone. Our delicious berry milkshake is suitable for a vegan diet without loosing any of its flavour. If you also like to do something for your immune system on warm days, a mango ginger smoothie is the perfect choice. The smoothie is not only wonderfully fruity and tasty, but also a real vitamin booster. You're probably familiar with the summertime classic Aperol Spritz. The popular aperitif has expanded the trend to include many other spritz drinks, such as the Limoncello Spritz with a bittersweet taste. And you can’t go wrong with a classic like the Gin Basil Smash. The cocktail is traditionally made with the help of a shaker - a useful thing to have at home. Find out in today's article on how to prepare the summer drinks of 2022 and get inspired. To the shaker, set, go!

Limoncello Spritz

You will need:
  • 4cl Limoncello
  • 100ml Prosecco
  • 50ml Bitter Lemon
  • A splash of sparkling water or soda
  • 1 lemon
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint
First, wash the lemon and then cut it into small pieces. Then put the ice cubes in the glass. First add Limoncello and then fill up with Prosecco, Bitter Lemon and soda. Garnish the rim of the glass with lemon and, if desired, mint. Enjoy it!

Vegan Berry Shake

For one serving you will need:
  • 250ml of milk substitute (we used soy, but you can go with almond, coconut or anything you like)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Vanilla sugar to your taste
  • Splash of lemon juice
  • 100g frozen strawberries or raspberries
  • A pinch of salt
  • Fresh strawberries
Wash and cut the fresh strawberries. Add the remaining ingredients one by one to your blender. Mix the shake in the blender until everything is properly chopped. If the shake is too thick for you, simply add a bit more of your milk substitute. Finally, garnish the finished milkshake with fresh strawberries.

Mango-Ginger Smoothie

For one serving of smoothie you’ll need:
  • Half of mango
  • 10g grated ginger
  • 150ml orange juice (from a carton or freshly squeezed)
  • 200g plain yoghurt
  • 1tbsp honey
  • A bit of lime juice
First, rinse the mango, remove the pit and cut one half into cubes. Then puree the mango and grated ginger in a blender. Add orange juice, yoghurt, honey and lime juice. Blend until you get a creamy drink. When you are satisfied with the smoothie, serve it with ice cubes. If you have a juicer, use freshly squeezed orange juice, but prepackaged juice is also great. This drink can also be made vegan if you use a plant-based yoghurt.

Gin Basil Smash

The ingredients:
  • 6cl gin
  • 15 Basil leaves
  • 2cl Lemon juice
  • 2cl sugar syrup
  • Ice cubes
Put 10-12 basil leaves in the cocktail shaker (or a tall container) together with the sugar syrup. Put the rest of the basil aside for garnish. Using the muddler of a cocktail set, crush these ingredients to release the aroma of the basil. Once you have muddled the leaves properly, but not for too long, add lemon juice, gin and ice cubes to the shaker. Then shake everything well and pour it through a strainer into a glass. Add ice cubes and basil as a garnish and cheers! A little tip: There are also many wonderful non-alcoholic gin variants if you want to enjoy the cocktail but don't want to drink alcohol.
